The Challenge: Mission-Critical Launch & Team Bootstrapping
Tasked with spearheading the design strategy for Nielsen ONE, a high-stakes initiative to unify global media measurement. The challenge was two-fold: delivering a world-class analytics engine while simultaneously mentoring a newly formed design org into a high-performing unit capable of operating at enterprise scale.

The Strategic Process: Multi-Threaded Leadership & Lean UX
We architected a "Parallel Workstream" model to ensure the product vision was validated by both the boardroom and the end-user, while maintaining a high velocity toward development.
C-Suite Strategic Alignment: Directed remote research with global industry leaders to map high-level user journeys. This ensured the MVP addressed the $100M+ data requirements of major networks and brand advertisers.

RITE (Rapid Iterative Testing and Evaluation): Established a rigorous feedback loop with power users. By employing RITE, we identified "information density" issues early, ensuring the UI remained intuitive despite the complexity of the data.

Embedded Design Ops: Mentored the team to work within Embedded Agile Sprints. This eliminated "handoff friction," allowing designers to work directly within the codebase for real-time validation and QA.

The Solution: A Unified Measurement Ecosystem
We replaced fragmented legacy reporting with a singular, sophisticated analytics platform. The design prioritized "The Golden Path" allowing users to move from high-level cross-media insights to granular data points in under three clicks.

Unified UI Language: Created a standardized visual language that consolidated data from social, broadcast, and streaming platforms.

Scalable Knowledge Management: Established a design led framework for data visualization that is now the standard for Nielsen’s global product portfolio.

The Outcome: Global Revenue & Institutional Impact
Market-Leading Revenue Stream: Successfully launched Nielsen ONE, now the industry benchmark for cross-media measurement and a primary driver of global revenue.
